The festival is also open to the public and admission to the festival is free.

The Fauquier Trails Coalition is proud to present the 2nd Annual Celebrate Trails! Festival.   Fauquier County has a growing trail network and many hidden gems for any level of outdoor enthusiast.  Come visit the festival to find out what Fauquier County has to offer while enjoying live music and family-friendly entertainment! This is a free event highlighting all of the trails available in the County and supporting activities that is sure to have something for nature lovers, fitness fans, history buffs, and children of all ages.

Deer Park Avenue, a rock band fronted by sisters Sarah and Stephanie Snyder, will be providing live music throughout the festival.  They have won the Hard Rock Rising, Washington DC regional battle of the bands and have toured the US and internationally gaining a faithful following.  They perform a mix of original music and covers with their unique sound.

One of the most talked about groups from last year’s inaugural festival was The Wheelmen.  They collect many different types of antique bicycles and some of the owners dress in period clothing.

The Fauquier Sheriff’s Office will be offering a bike rodeo for young riders.  Bike rodeos are fun courses that provide safety tips while children can hone their cycling skills.

The Unistars are going to be offering two special show times complete with ramps and tricks up their sleeves!  This group of unicycle performers have been together for years and their hardwork and dedication clearly shine in their showmanship.

History buffs won’t be left out, since the Piedmont Railroaders will be offering a tour of the Warrenton Branch Greenway, highlighting the railroad history.  The WBG became a National Recreation Trail in 2012, mainly due to its unique rail history.

Trail maps will be available for many of the county’s facilities, and representatives from Sky Meadows, Fauquier County Parks and Recreation, Department of Forestry, Piedmont Environmental Council, and more will be on hand to answer questions about their awesome facilities.  It will be easy to find a new trail that is open for discovery.

Come Celebrate Trails! on October 25th from 12pm-4pm at the municipal lot on the corner of 5th Street and Franklin Street, just under the WBG bridge beyond the caboose.  Parking is available throughout Old Town Warrenton, and at the municipal parking lot on the corner of 5th Street and Lee Street.  The festival can also be directly accessed from the Warrenton Branch Greenway, next to the old turntable.  The festival directly follows the Great Pumpkin Ride, a multi-distance fun ride throughout the county for all levels of cyclists also sponsored by the Fauquier Trails Coalition.

The Dominion Foundation has provided a generous grant to make this event possible.  Fauquier Trails Coalition is still looking for volunteers and sponsors, for more information please contact Alison Bremner at abremner@vt.edu.
