A Bittersweet Official Announcement: The Departure of GWCC Executive Director Michele Flores

It is with both great excitement and heavy heartedness that the Greater Warrenton Chamber of Commerce announces the departure of our Executive Director, Michele Flores after three years of service to the organization.  During her tenure, Flores guided the Chamber’s growth as it serves our nearly 300 members and leaves a positive impact on our community.  Flores, age 25, stated that her decision to exit was motivated only by the desire to do, learn, see, and be more.  “The board and our members are grateful for her contribution to the success of this organization, and we look forward to cheering her on as she continues her career path,” said Chamber President, Amelia Stansell.    She will work for the organization through the end of April, having graciously agreed to assist with the transition of her successor.

Moving forward, the board of directors has assembled a hiring committee to handle the task of recruiting, interviewing, and hiring our next Executive Director.  Inquiries about the position may be directed to info@WarrentonChamber.org.  The GWCC is setting in motion a number of new initiatives to continue promoting, supporting, and furthering the success of businesses in the greater Warrenton area, and we look forward to working with a new intelligent, passionate, and talented colleague who will enthusiastically help us effectuate them.
