As a part of its overall effort to create a membership driven organization, the Board of Directors of the Greater Warrenton Chamber of Commerce (GWCC) decided to conduct a survey (open October 28, 2009 to December 4, 2009) to receive input on the prioritization of its 10 goals. Without question the objective of the Board of Directors and the GWCC is to accomplish all ten goals successfully; however, with such information a sense of urgency could be placed on those goals seen as more important by the GWCC’s members, and thereby help the Board of Directors implement goals seen by members as relatively more important more quickly.
Using weighted average ratings across all respondents, the top three priorities should be as follows:
1. Promote the community’s products and services to our residents
2. Provide leadership to bring together our businesses and individuals to create a favorable business climate for existing taxpaying entities.
3. Host regular membership meetings where business people can participate openly and actively in their Chamber of Commerce.
