In his presentation Dennis defined Business Triage as:

• Free to GWCC Members

• A confidential, volunteer-driven, independent assessment of the needs of a business seeking assistance

• An objective diagnostic process for determining the most probable  “root cause” of business challenges (existing or new businesses

• A collection of resources which can be made available to businesses with specific needs

• A roadmap to help guide a business toward  survivability/stability

At a high level, some of the key elements of the Business Triage program include:

• A written Non-Disclosure Agreement between GWCC Consultants and Triage Clients to protect confidential information

• A written Engagement Agreement between GWCC and Triage Client

• A structured Intake process

• A Diagnostic routine

• A prescribed course of action for review and consideration by the Triage Client

• Introductions to one or more Business Triage Consultants

• A follow-up and effectiveness survey

We have established contact with many of our members and requested their assistance as Volunteer Consulting resources to support the Triage program.  These willing volunteers have helped us to establish a resource base with business specialties spanning the following areas:
              o       Accounting & Finance

o       Arbitration

o       Banking

o       Information Technology

o       Insurance

o       Legal

o       Marketing

o       Organizational

o       Planning

o       Real Estate/Leasing

o       Retail

The Chamber is excited to advise our members that the Business Triage service is “Open for Business” and we urge any member businesses who are in need of assistance to contact us right away – please do not wait!  The longer a business remains in peril or in need of assistance the more difficult it is for us to help.  The Triage Team will meet with businesses seeking assistance, by appointment, at the Chamber’s business office located at the Warrenton Visitors Center.
